Chili - Chicken Stew

It may have a Mexican flavor, but make no mistake, this is real comfort food. This will raise your spirits even faster than Grandma's chicken noodle soup.

6 boneless chicken breasts Cut In 1" Cubes
1 c onion,chopped
1 c green pepper,chopped
1/2 t garlic,minced
1 T vegetable oil
4 c no salt added stewed tomatoes,undrained and chopped
2 c pinto beans, No salt added, drained
2/3 c salsa
2 T chili powder
1 t ground cumin
3/4 c fat free Sour cream
1/2 c green onions,Sliced
1/2 c cheddar cheese,Shredded
1 avocado,Diced

Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces. Cook chicken, onion, pepper, and garlic in hot oil in a Dutch oven until light browned. Add tomatoes, beans, salsa, cumin and chili powder. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Top individual servings with remaining ingredients.
